A Family Owned Legacy

Here at our steak restaurant, we believe in fostering an atmosphere that the whole family can enjoy. Jack and Peggy Nunn founded the Original Great American Land & Cattle Co. in 1977. Jack and Peggy held a lot of value in the importance of a good family meal. Today we strive to continue that legacy. While providing a great place to bring the whole family, we have continued his love for great flavor and consistency. Jack’s father, Bill Nunn, created our secret steak and meat seasoning, and it has remained in the family for 40 years. Our customers return because we offer large portions and flavors they can depend on and have grown to love. At our family restaurant, we strive to satisfy our customers. We take great pride in the quality of our ingredients and the great flavor.

Meat is the Center of our Meals

We only use USDA choice and prime beef. Every steak we serve comes from grass-fed Sterling Silver premium beef. From the butcher to your plate, we make sure that the meat is never frozen. Every steak is wet aged. It is soaked in its own juices which produce an amazingly flavorful and tender cut of meat. Not only that, our chefs cut every steak right here in our restaurant on a daily basis. The only exception we make with frozen food is, of course, our seafood. We offer Australian lobster tail. We do this to ensure you get the best possible quality.
The original steak burger is another favorite at our family restaurant. We never buy pre-formed patties and certainly never frozen. Our burgers are made from beef that is chopped and ground right here in our kitchen. We also offer a wide variety of toppings for those that want a huge hearty steak burger.

Signature Side Dishes From the Original Recipe

Our original owner and grandfather of our current owner, Bill Nunn, created our secret family recipes for several of our side dishes. He created our pineapple cole slaw and pinto beans, also known as Texas Caviar.

We strive to provide the best atmosphere and food for our customers. Our biggest goal is to make sure you can have a great quality meal with all of your family. You don’t have to hire a sitter to visit our family restaurant.
